Lombok

17.3.13

The approach road – track is a better word – is suitable for a four-wheel drive and little else. A regular Kijang took us there in nigh on two hours from the paved road: the resort’s 4WD Toyota Landcruiser took us back in a quarter of the time.

With excellent food and staff trained at Jeeva Klui, Senggigi, this is where I would wish to retire to write the novel I haven’t got in mind: no traffic, no sarong sellers, no internet and minimal phone connection.

Ah, bliss.
